When felt meets basketry, wool draws its strength from the plant world without losing any of its softness.
Through natural wool, an instinctive and inventive relationship with the world is expressed: a bond made of kindness and resilience, blending aesthetics with commitment.
The new pieces, woven using various basketry techniques, are made of felted wool stems. Two traditional gestures meet here, continuing an exploration initiated around the fusion of knitting and felting. Therefore from knitting to weaving, it was just a small step — one that was taken to open a new creative field with felt as the common thread.
This work, which merges two skills, also references two familiar and essential worlds: the animal through wool, and the vegetal, both literally and figuratively, with wicker, wood, and plant dye sometimes joining the creations.
